Velvet Rope is a hospitality reservation and venue-operations platform operated by John Blaze Inc. Velvet Rope helps venues coordinate reservations, arrivals, seating updates, reservation reminders, and guest support.

Velvet Rope may send SMS text messages when a guest provides a mobile phone number during a reservation, arrival, or guest-support flow and opts in to receive messages. SMS is used only for operational hospitality communication related to the guest’s reservation or support request.

SMS messages may include reservation confirmations, arrival coordination, seating updates, reservation reminders, and guest support. Velvet Rope SMS is not used for nightlife promotions, guestlist advertising, VIP promotional campaigns, marketing blasts, alcohol promotional messages, gambling messages, adult-content messages, or unrelated advertising.

Consent to receive SMS is optional and is not a condition of purchase. Where SMS opt-in is offered, the checkbox or consent control is presented unchecked by default. By selecting the SMS consent checkbox, you agree to receive reservation and guest-service SMS messages from Velvet Rope, operated by John Blaze Inc.

Message frequency varies based on reservation activity and guest-support needs. Message and data rates may apply according to your mobile carrier plan. Velvet Rope does not charge guests separately for receiving SMS messages.

You may opt out of Velvet Rope SMS communications at any time by replying STOP to any Velvet Rope SMS message. After you reply STOP, you may receive one confirmation message confirming that your opt-out has been processed. After that, no further SMS messages will be sent to that mobile number unless you opt back in.

Opting out of SMS does not cancel an existing reservation. Please contact the venue or Velvet Rope support for reservation changes.

For help with SMS messages, reply HELP to any Velvet Rope SMS message. You may also contact Velvet Rope support by email at hello@velvetropehq.com. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Your information is handled according to the Velvet Rope Privacy Policy. Mobile phone numbers, SMS opt-in data, and SMS consent records are not shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

Reservations and seating are subject to the policies and discretion of the venue. Velvet Rope provides technology for reservation and guest-service coordination but does not guarantee admission, entry, specific table placement, or venue service outcomes.

Some reservations may require deposits or payments handled through third-party payment processors or venue-specific processes. Deposit policies, refund eligibility, credits, minimum spends, and cancellation terms are determined by the venue unless otherwise stated during the reservation process.

You agree not to misuse Velvet Rope, submit false reservation information, interfere with platform security, attempt unauthorized access, or use Velvet Rope for unlawful activity.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Velvet Rope is not responsible for venue decisions, carrier delays, undelivered or delayed SMS messages, incorrect guest-entered information, or indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from use of the platform.

Velvet Rope may update these Terms from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date.
